Dear Tuscarora School District Students and Families,

Happy Back to School season!  As we begin the 2024/25 school year, I am thrilled once again to welcome our TSD students back to school!

We had a productive summer and teacher inservice period and are excited to greet our students this week.  As we complete the final preparations, I feel great energy throughout our school buildings and school community.  We have wonderful educators and the very BEST students in the Tuscarora School District and are focused on being “Better Together” this school year.  

Each summer, as we interview new employees, we are asked “Why Tuscarora?” as a potential district/employer.  I will share a few of our honest answers:  We try each day to develop a culture and community that supports our students and one another.  We are a “right-sized” school district provides comprehensive programming for our students while still embracing their individual skills and challenges. Our community “rises to the occasion” in times of celebration and times of struggle.  And finally, I encourage our educational team to work hard, play hard, find common ground, and treat people well.
