Superintendent's Message
Welcome to the Tuscarora School District.
For nearly two decades, I have had the privilege of serving this community as a teacher, principal, and now superintendent. Those experiences have shaped my belief in our schools and my responsibility to the students, families, and staff who count on them.
Our community takes pride in hard work, strong relationships, and showing up for one another. I see those values in our classrooms, on our playing fields, at performances, and in the partnerships that connect our schools with the community. We have much to be proud of, and a responsibility to keep getting better.
Our work centers on three priorities:
- Supporting and retaining great teachers and staff so our students learn from people who know them, challenge them, and care about their success.
- Strengthening learning and student support through strong foundations in reading and math, timely help, and opportunities for every student to grow.
- Leading a district families and staff can count on through clear communication, consistent expectations, and responsible use of community resources.
Success means students leave Tuscarora with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to take their next step—whether into college, career training, military service, or the workforce. It means families have a voice in their children’s education and our community can take pride in the opportunities its schools provide.
Our best work happens when schools and families work together. That means staying connected, working through challenges, and keeping students’ needs at the center of our decisions.
A lesson shared with me years ago continues to guide my work: “You get better or worse every day; you never stay the same.” Our commitment is to keep improving, together, for the students we serve.
